Hello! 

My name is Kirstyn Russell and I will be your child's 3rd grade Reading, Language Arts, and Social Studies teacher this year! I have a feeling this year will be #simplytheBESt !

I graduated from West Texas A&M University in 2016 and have five years of experience in the classroom. I have worked mainly in 3rd and 4th grade Reading and Writing, but this will be my first year teaching as a bear! I am so excited to join this wonderful campus and help all of my students succeed and THRIVE!

When I'm not at school, I love to bake and take small road trip adventures. I also enjoy spending time with my husband (Chad), our daughter (Piper), and our dog and cat (Flash and Oliver). 

Third grade can be a stressful year with that dreaded STAAR test around the corner, but I can't wait to journey with you and your child through a wonderful year of growth and learning. By the time we get to that scary test, I want your child to say, "You know, that wasn't so bad." My passion is helping kids be successful and can't wait to see all your child accomplishes this year.
