Free & Reduced-Price Meals IS NOW AVAILABLE

  • Please note: If you submit the free/reduced meal application prior to July 1, 2023, you will need to complete another meal application AFTER July 1 for the 2023-24 school year. Applications are available online and at your student’s campus. We encourage the submission of online applications for faster processing.

Wylie Independent School District offers free and reduced-price meal benefits to students who qualify. Reduced-price meals at all campuses are $0.30 for breakfast and $0.40 for lunch.

Since 2020, many families have received free breakfast and lunch under the Summer Seamless Option (SSO) through the Wylie ISD Student Nutrition Department. However, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has not extended waivers allowing for free breakfast and lunch meals for students enrolled at campuses that participate in the National School Lunch Program.

Due to this change in federal policy, Wylie ISD families who want to qualify for a free or reduced-price meal will be required to complete an application for the 2022-2023 school year.

You may also apply online (Skyward Family Access) or download the application (English, Spanish) and return completed copies to the Student Nutrition staff. Paper applications must be submitted with original signatures. Faxes or copies of the application cannot be accepted. Wylie ISD is authorized to accept online free and reduced-price meal applications with an electronic signature. We highly encourage applying online for faster processing.

If a student was on the meal program last school year (2021-2022), the benefit will carry over for the first 30 days of school. A new application must be submitted to continue benefits for each school year.

Mail or deliver your completed application to:

    200 Pirate Drive
    Wylie, TX 75098
