Ms. Bobbie Jo Roberts

My name is Bobbie Jo Roberts. I feel honored to be a 2nd grade teacher at Cox Elementary. My first year in Wylie ISD was in 2020-2021. What a year to begin as we braved the COVID Pandemic! I have loved being a new family member of this incredible district! Wylie ISD is truly special...a big family...with your children and their employees best interests' at heart. What a fantastic place for students and teachers to learn and grow! I graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science, a Minor in Reading and an Early Childhood Endorsement. I began my teaching career in Keller ISD where I taught 2nd grade for 3 years, continued on to Coppell ISD, and I spent 2 years in 2nd grade before transferring to Kindergarten. I taught Kindergarten for 5 years in Coppell and served 4 of those, fun years as Team Leader. I most recently had the privilege of teaching 5th Grade at Dallas Christian School.

In addition to my title as a teacher, I am also a mom, sister, daughter and friend. I have two, amazing children. My daughter, Reese, attends Abilene Christian University. My son, Kash, attends Dallas Christian School in Mesquite. We moved from Double Oak to Sachse in 2017. It was an amazing decision I certainly do not regret, and I look forward to my future in Wylie ISD. My family lives in the DFW Metroplex and we are very close. I am extremely grateful for that bond and for the new friendships I have formed with fellow teachers and families at Cox Elementary.

I feel blessed to serve Wylie and the community as an Educator. I am grateful for the opportunity to love and impact children in a positive and meaningful way. Children truly are our future, and I cannot think of a more incredible way to spend my days. I treasure my job and the children I teach.
