My name is Mady Rippey.  I am the oldest of three girls. I graduated from Texas Tech University in December 2017. I have been teaching since January 2018. My teaching career began in Lubbock in 2nd and 3rd grade. My sisters are both currently attending Texas Tech (One wants to teach middle school, and the other is going the finance route!). Family means a lot to me, I love that I get to have a school family in addition to my actual family. 

My favorite thing to do in my free time is READ! I will read just about any book. If you need suggestions, let me know. On the flip side, if you've read a good book please share, I'd love to try it out! You can catch in the Chick-Fil-A drive through way more than I need to be. It's hard to pick a favorite color, but my favorite color pen to grade with is purple. Last, but not least, I love to learn. Learning from my students every day makes it all worth it. 

I became a teacher because I want my students to feel safe and valued every day they're in my classroom. I hope to cultivate a desire to learn for students. I am so thankful to be a part of their journey to being kind young adults.
