I am a native Texan from San Antonio. I met and married my husband Jeff while in college and we have two children: Cameron and Kiley. My favorite thing in the world is spending time with family and friends. I am grounded in nature and, when life gets crazy, I retreat to the out of doors to re-center myself. Theatre is in my blood and I continue to work in local theatre productions whenever possible. 

I am a 1995 graduate of Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. My major field of study was Theatre and I minored in Speech Communications. While earning my degree I decided that I wanted to teach theatre and added secondary education to my course load.

1995 marked my first year as a theatre teacher in Texas. Seven years later we moved to New Mexico where I taught theatre and added English to my certification. In the summer of 2009 we moved across country to Florida and I began teaching English that Fall. Longing for home we moved back to Texas in the summer of 2020 and I became a Wylie East Raider!
