Meal Costs and Payment (*UPDATE 12/1/2020)
Starting on Monday, October 5, 2020 and going through the end of the 2020-21 school year (or while USDA funds are available), Wylie ISD Student Nutrition Department will provide FREE meals at no charge to ALL students as part of the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) program sponsored by the USDA and the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA).
Free breakfast and lunch will be available for in-person learners in the school cafeteria and remote learners through the curbside pickup at the following two locations: Groves Elementary School and Hartman Elementary School from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. All children 18 years or younger are eligible for the curbside pickup meals at no charge. Documentation providing guardianship is required if a parent picks up meals without a student present: student ID, student ID number, report card, Skyward Family Access enrollment page, or birth certificate.
A la carte items, are not included with the free breakfast or lunch meal and will be available for purchase in the school cafeteria. Meal charges incurred before Monday, October 5th, will still be owed as an outstanding balance.
The Student Nutrition Department encourages families to continue to submit meal applications for the Free and Reduced Meal Program so that qualifying students will still receive meal benefits for 30 days of the new school year or when USDA funds are no longer available.
