ONCOR Grant
In December 2015, Wylie ISD received word that Oncor will award the District a grant for $44,096.85 for replacing lights in the parking lots with LED equipment. The grant is part of the company's Energy Efficiency initiative to encourage businesses to move toward better equipment to provide more sustainable energy.

CATEE Award
Wylie ISD was recognized as the 2016 recipient of the "Outstanding Sustainable K-12 School" by the 2016 Clean Air Through Energy Efficiency (CATEE) Conference Steering Committee. CATEE was held this year at the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk in San Antonio, TX, December 19-21, 2016

ONCOR Grant
As a participant in Oncor’s Commercial Standard Offer Energy Efficiency Program, Wylie ISD recently received a $9,341.81 incentive payment to support the replacement of the air-conditioning chiller at Birmingham Elementary. The incentive funds provided by Oncor were administered to help offset the cost of the energy efficiency project completed at Birmingham Elementary.
