March 2020 Update Summary

Wylie East High School Additions & Renovations

Structural foundation work continues at area A with grade beams ands and concrete wall forms. Structural steel is complete at area H, the slab has been poured and fireproofing has started. Structural steel has made good progress on areas E & K, the front classroom additions, and concrete forms have been placed for the slab on area E. Plumbing and Electrical prep work is ongoing at the additions and under the existing buildings. Utility work and sub grade prep for the concrete pad work is in progress on the new CTE building.
In the coming weeks we should continue to see progress with the concrete walls at area A, placement of the slabs at E & K, and the start of wall framing on areas with steel in place.

Structural foundation work continues at the main addition with the placement of grade beams and concrete walls. Underground plumbing and electrical work have progressed in the main addition. Interior renovation prep work continues inside the main building preparing for upcoming summer work. Utilities and piers are complete at the scene shop addition.
Structural foundation work and concrete walls at the main addition will continue thru April. Structural steel deliveries have started, the crane is on site, and steel erection should start soon. Plumbing and electrical work will continue with the concrete walls.
Phase 2 Additions & Renovations Bush, Cox, Watkins & Harrison

Our second phase of projects for the 2019 Bond consists of additions and renovations at Bush Elementary, Cox Elementary, Watkins Elementary & Harrison Intermediate. These projects were bid on February 27th and the CMR’s working on their final scope review items with sub-contractors to generate their GMP for each project. Once the GMP is received and approved, contracts will be negotiated with the sub-contractors and work can begin.
