Wylie East High School Additions & Renovations
Structural foundation work is complete in area H and continues at areas A, E, & K. All structural building piers for the phase 1 additions have been installed. Grade beam forms and concrete wall forms are still underway at area A. Plumbing and Electrical prep work is in progress around and under the existing buildings.
In the coming weeks we will continue to see progress with the concrete walls at area A and we should see the installation of area H floor steel, decking and concrete slab followed by the steel structure. Areas E & K are sequenced after H and should follow the same pattern as we have seen on area H.
Wylie High School Additions & Renovations
Structural foundation work continues at the main addition with approximately 50% of the piers installed and grade beam forms underway. Utility work at the main addition is wrapping up and investigations for upcoming buildings is underway. Electrical work is ongoing inside the main building, at nights, preparing for summer work. Plumbing work continues, coordinating with the grade beam crews.
Structural foundation work and concrete walls at the main addition will continue into February and structural steel deliveries should start arriving in late February.
Phase 2 Additions & Renovations Bush, Cox, Watkins & Harrison
Our second phase of projects for the 2019 Bond consists of additions and renovations at Bush Elementary, Cox Elementary, Watkins Elementary & Harrison Intermediate. PBK has submitted the 95% progress set of construction documents for all four projects and the Construction Managers are working on updated budget estimates and constructability review comments that will help to further develop the construction documents. We should have final bid documents by mid-February 2020 and construction is expected to start in the Spring of 2020.
