When is the 544 cafe open?
You can find our hours and location by clicking the Location and Hours link. Throughout the year there are times when we have to close the cafe for testing or school holidays. For the most up to date information, you can check our Facebook Page.

Do I have to check in through the school office?
No you do not. We have our own entrance and parking. You can find more information about the location and parking for the 544 Cafe on our Location and Hours page.

Who can eat at The 544 Cafe?
The 544 Cafe is open to all Wylie ISD parents, staff, and the community of Wylie and surrounding areas. Because of national student nutrition guidelines, we are unable to serve Wylie ISD students unless they are with their own guardian.

What forms of payment are accepted at The 544 Cafe?
We happily accept cash and credit cards.

May I tip at The 544 Cafe?
Yes! All tips are gathered throughout the year and awarded as scholarships to 544 Cafe Employees in the form of a scholarship. Last year we were able to give over $3,000 because of the generosity of our guests.

How can I be sure my food is prepared safely?
All students working in the 544 Cafe have at least one year of safety and sanitation training and must have a valid Texas Food Handler's Certification. In addition, all food is prepared under the direct supervision of a Chef Instructor or Restaurant Manager who all hold a Texas Food Manager Certification.
Our Cafe is visited twice a year by the Health Department and must pass inspection like any other restaurant.

Does the 544 Cafe host private events?
Yes, however the students are our number one priority, so we reserve the right to decline any event that would conflict with student schedules. We have hosted banquets and lunches for many organizations including the Wylie Chamber of Commerce, several WHS clubs, and the Wylie Teen Court. Does the 544 Cafe cater?
Yes, however the students are our number one priority, so we reserve the right to decline any catering order that would conflict with student schedules. We have done on and off site catering for many organizations. For a quote and availability, please email the544cafe@wylieisd.net.

Does the 544 Cafe deliver?
Because we prioritize our students' safety, we do not offer delivery except for on the WHS campus. Delivery is available through Door Dash, but you can only place orders when we are open for service.

How often does the menu change?
Our menu typically changes once a year and then as needed based on performance. As the students gain experience in the Cafe, we add weekly specials which are posted to our Facebook page.
