Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! I am Kayla Brooks, one of the school counselors at Cooper Junior High School! This is my second year serving as a Cooper Patriot and my 13th year as an educator. Before becoming a school counselor, I was a coach and athletic coordinator in Wylie and Garland ISD. I have taught health, physical education, and college and career readiness.

I am married to my best friend, Sherrard. I am the proud mom of one beautiful daughter, Braylee.

It is an honor to have the opportunity to work with the students, families, and staff at Cooper Junior High School!  Let's make this an awesome school year!
