I love being a Groves gator! Being a reading intervention specialist has always been my dream job. I love watching our students make strides in their reading and can confidently say, "I am a reader!"
 
This will be my 16th year in education. I graduated from LSU in December 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and stayed in Baton Rouge to teach for the next four years. I loved it so much that I returned for my Master's of Education and graduated in May 2012. I bleed purple and gold! I have been in the great state of Texas since 2012. I have taught kindergarten, first, second, and fourth grade. I also have my reading specialist certification. 
 
I live in Rowlett with my husband Ben, our daughter Palmer, and our pug Penny. I love to read, travel, sing, and spend time with my family.
