Q: Which school will my child attend?
A: You can find which campuses your student will attend by inputting your address in our bus route/school locator tool.

Q: Where and how do I register for school?
A: Please see New Student Registration where you will find information on all your student requirements for starting school in Wylie ISD.

Q: Why do I have to register my student online every year when they already attend a Wylie ISD school?
A: It is important the District has the most accurate information on file for each student. We ask parents to update their students' information annually through Online Registration. Parents can register their children beginning in early August. The link remains active for approximately 10 days after school starts.

Q: What if I know someone who doesn't have Internet access or a computer at home?
A: Each campus has computers available for parents to use to update student information.

Q: What are the immunization requirements for student registration?
A: You can view the immunization requirements here.

Q: Does the District provide a way for me to view my student(s) grades/information?
A: Yes. Parents may enroll in the Parent Access program to view student's grades, attendance and prepay meal account balances. Fill out the Parent Access Enrollment Form and visit your student's campus to sign up. En español.

Q: What supplies will I need to buy?
A: Current supply lists are available on our Back to School page. Supply lists for grades 9-12 will be provided during schedule pick up and the first week of school.

Q: How do I find out about bus stops and schedules?
A: The Wylie ISD bus/school locator will assist you with bus stops and schedules.

Q: At what age do children start kindergarten?
A: A student is eligible to attend our full-day kindergarten program if he/she are five years of age or older on or before September 1 of the school year.

Q: Does the District have a pre-school program?
A: The District offers free pre-kindergarten classes for eligible students. Please visit the Prekindergarten page for more information.

Q: When is kindergarten and pre-k registration?
A: Parents should enroll at the campus the student would be attending currently. Students that will be attending a different school next year (because of attendance zone boundary changes) will have their documents transferred to the correct school.

Q: Is kindergarten/pre-k all day?
A: In Wylie ISD, Kindergarten and dual-language Pre-K are full-day programs. Program students begin the day at 7:30 a.m. and are dismissed at 2:30 p.m.
Pre-K is offered in two 1/2 day sessions; 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Q: What courses are available to students?
A: You can view course selections for high school students in the High School Academic Planning Guide. Junior High courses are also available in the Junior High Academic Planning Guide.

Q: How do I find out about the school lunch program and meal prepay accounts?
A: Lunch menus are posted on each campus website under the 'Lunch Menu' icon. They are also available in the District mobile app. Lunch accounts can be prepaid at the school or by logging into Skyward Family Access. Contact the Child Nutrition Department for more information.
