Howdy

My name is Scott Johnson. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and graduated the proudest member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of '06. My first degree was in marine biology and my masters is in education. I spent time in and out of the country working in cave systems and in open water with marine invertebrates and general ecology before becoming a teacher. I have always been passionate about science and education. My father and his father were both teachers. I started with tutoring math and science when I was in high school, continued into teaching SCUBA and dance in college. I am excited to be a part of the Wylie family as both a teacher and a parent. I have 2 wonderful daughters, who attend school in the district. My wife is a diagnostician at Wylie East. This is my 16th year teaching one of my passions, science. I love being able to do what all my favorite teachers did when I was younger and instill a true lasting love of learning in my students. I am thankful for the chance to do that every year.
