Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Karrie George

I am passionate about education, igniting a passion for learning and equipping young learners for positive transformation.  It is truly a blessing to be joining the Draper family this year, one that marks my twelfth year in public education and seventh in Wylie ISD.  Along my public education journey, I taught in Lamesa, Texas and also in Virginia while my husband completed his active duty service.  In Wylie, I’ve had the opportunity to teach several math courses at Wylie High school and served as department chair there for three years.  Most recently, I have been the high school math learning specialist for Wylie ISD.

On the personal side, I have been married to my husband, Billy, for 20 years.  We have two children, Emma and Tyler who both attend Wylie High school and are members of That Wylie Band.  The four of us enjoy serving and worshiping together with our church family and steal away as time permits in our travel trailer.  We can frequently be found on weekends at a campground somewhere around the region camping and hiking together.

My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in math from Texas Tech and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from A&M Commerce.

I am so excited to join the Draper family this year.  Together we will make the 2018-2019 great!
