Hello!

My name is Jack Garner and I teach Dual Credit US History through Collin College and US History. This is my seventh year teaching high school social studies. In my seven years as a teacher, I have learned to love teaching students about the wonderful study of history. Before Wylie East High School, I taught World History and AP European History in Roosevelt and Lubbock ISD. In my years of teaching, I have sponsored UIL Social Studies, Current Events, Literary Criticism, and coached Academic Pentathlon and Decathlon. I am originally from Rockwall, Texas where my parents still live. I attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas from 2012 to 2016. After graduation, I lived in Lubbock for two years while waiting on my wife, Kinsey, to finish graduate school. After she graduated, we got married and moved back to the Dallas metroplex. We have a son named Peter who was born in April of 2022. I love spending time with my wife, traveling, reading, working on my 1981 Silverado C-10, and watching the Dallas Stars. I look forward to this school year and working with Wylie East students!
