Ms. Rona Lee Price

I have been teaching since 2004. I enjoy reading fiction, being creative, seeing musicals and going to my favorite vacation spot - the beach. My other favorites are spending time with my family and friends and cuddling my cat, Isabell. I’m so grateful to be a part of the WISD family!

In 1990, I graduated from Tarleton State University with a degree in Government and Journalism. In 2004 I became a certified teacher, and I have a Masters of Curriculum and Instruction in Reading from Texas A&M University - Commerce.

My favorite subjects in school were reading and art. Even before I started kindergarten my favorite place to visit was the library. I would spend hours sitting on the floor reading book after book. I love being creative and learning new artistic skills. Painting is one of my favorite things!

What I love most about teaching is building relationships with my students and being part of their love for learning. I also enjoy collaborating with other teachers and being part of a team that is dedicated to supporting student success.

I became a teacher because of my experience as a summer camp counselor where I became a mentor, role model, and teacher. It was so rewarding, and I was excited to begin each new day with my campers while sharing their love for learning. As a teacher, I am fortunate to have that same experience with my students for the entire school year!

We are going to have a fabulous year together!
