Mrs. Renee Padden
I grew up in upstate New York in a little town called Bloomingburg way out in the country located at the base of the Catskill Mountains about halfway between Albany and New York City. I am the oldest in my family with 4 younger brothers and my little sister is a Special Ed teacher in New York. All of my family is still on the other side of the country. I typically get to spend a month at “home” every summer…I have been in TX since 1998 but you will always hear me talk about NY as “home” as it just holds that special place in my heart.
I earned my BA in English and dual certification in Special (K-12) and Elementary Education (PK-6) at Mount Saint Mary College in New York. I taught for 3 years at Sullivan County BOCES in NY while also obtaining my MS at SUNY New Paltz. My husband’s job brought my family to TX. I spent 19 years teaching the A.L.E. (LIFE) class at Luna Elementary. This will be my 6th year teaching in Wylie but my first year at Watkins Elementary. I absolutely love what I have the privilege of doing every day. I am so excited to be a part of your child’s experience as a Watkins Wrangler!
