I was born in Kirksville, Missouri but my parents moved us to Wylie, Texas a few years later.  I went to Hartman Elementary way back when Mr. Wally Watkins was the Principal and it was a K-5th grade school.  Back then there were only two elementaries, Hartman and Birmingham, one middle school (6th-8th grade) and one high school (9th-12th grade).  It's funny that I am teaching in the same school that I attended many years ago.  I graduated from UT Dallas with a degree in Child Learning and Development.  I started teaching 6th grade in 2013 at a middle school in Frisco, TX.  I have been at Harrison Intermediate School since 2017.  I love being able to teach in Wylie!  I married my high school sweetheart and we have two children, Liam and Abigail.
