Welcome!

I am Mrs. Walling! I have been teaching for 7 years now, and have enjoyed it very much! Prior to becoming an art teacher, I worked as a Graphic Designer.

A little about me: In 2007, I graduated from The Art Institute of Dallas. My degree is in Graphic Design. I earned my teaching certificate in 2014 and began teaching Secondary Visual Arts. My husband, David, and I have been married for 14 years and have 2 kids, Scarlet (12) and Greyson (9). I enjoy reading, crafting, yoga, tending to our chickens and listening to music.

This year in art class, your students will use a variety of art techniques, such as painting, drawing, pastels, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, collage, and photography. They will use their imagination and personal experiences to create original artwork. Students will study important art periods, art movements, artists, and styles in art history along with contemporary art and artists.
