Welcome to my page!  I am excited that your child will be in my class this year, which means they have expressed an interest (I hope) in the field of healthcare.  I am a Registered Nurse and have been in nursing for over 25 years. When I was in high school, I had absolutely no interest in anything health related until my senior year, when I realized that I wanted to become a nurse.  My parents were shocked and a little unsure of if I could handle it, but I proved them wrong and I am so glad that I chose this profession!  I am now teaching Health Science Theory, Patient Care Technician and Pharmacy Technician in hopes of bringing more knowledge and understanding of the different fields in healthcare. My goal is to inspire my students to follow their passion...even if they end up not being in the healthcare industry. 

One of the things I want all of my students to take away from my class is that Ms. Wiskur cares about them.  I love these high school kids and man, they make me laugh! It has been a great experience working with teens.

I grew up in Garland, and graduated from Lakeview Centennial. I have two girls, one is a Sophomore at Texas Tech and the other graduated from Texas Tech in 2021! GUNS UP! My oldest is interested in medical device sales and my youngest is interested in nursing.  

I graduated in 2020 with a Masters Degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington.  I figured I have another 20+ years of work ahead of me, so it's not too late to continue my education.  The great thing about nursing is that there are so many options to choose from.  I'm a little biased but try to keep it to a minimum.  :-)
