Mr. Robert W. Gawedzinski

Hello and greetings to you. I earned my BA cum laude in History from the University of Dallas. My Masters of Humanities degree allows me to pursue my twin disciplines of History and Literature with equal passion. I believe in lifelong learning. I believe in the well-rounded student. I believe education is the way to a better community. I have been a public school teacher since 1985. My first ten years were spent teaching in Dallas ISD; my next twenty-two years were spent teaching in Duncanville ISD. Since 2000, I have also taught classes at Northlake College, Mountain View College and am now teaching at Collin College Spring Creek branch. Over the course of these decades I have taught regular, Honors, Advanced Placement, and Dual Credit classes in English and in History. I am currently teaching Dual Credit English 1301 and 1302 through Collin College, as well as co-coaching Academic Decathlon. (I've been an AcDec coach since 1996 and have taken 18 teams to state in the past 24 years). I am happy to be part of Wylie High School's family. When I'm not busy following some classes on youtube, I can be found in my gardens, or working with glass in my studio, or walking my dog.
