Mrs. Arellano

I've worked in school districts for 22 years -- with the last 15 years being here at Whitt Elementary. 

My husband and I moved to Wylie in 2004. We moved here because it is a great community! We have raised our three children here on the outskirts of Wylie. Two of our children are now graduated and are grown. We have our youngest child at Wylie High. Wylie ISD has been a great experience for us as a family. I've found great friendships and tremendous joy in working with our students, parents, and staff.

The best part of returning every school year is meeting the siblings of our wolves, and hearing their stories when they walk into the library. Getting to know them all over again and watching them grow.  I use the library to encourage them to seek knowledge from books, help them learn how to socialize, teach them to use good citizenship skills, and even entertain them with a fictional book. I enjoy spending time with all our wolves & helping them build long-lasting confidence in reading or just in themselves.
