Mrs. Tammy Gurney - 6th Grade ELA, 6th Grade ELA Advanced

I am very excited about this year in 6th grade ELA at Davis!  This is my eigth year at Davis Intermediate teaching 6th grade ELA.  I have 19 years of teaching experience. Previously,  I taught 3rd grade in Waco and Plano, Texas.  I also taught ESL for a couple of years in Plano.  I graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Elementary Education.  Later,  I received a Master's Degree from UNT.   My areas of certification are Elementary Self Contained and Elementary English for grades 1-8, ESL for grades 1-12, and Secondary English for grades 6-12. I am very excited to meet my new students and learn all about them this year!  This is going to be a fun year!
