Hi my name is Curtis Holtz and this is my sixth year at Burnett Junior High.  I currently teach 8th Grade US History and Coach 7th/8th Boy's Athletics and I absolute enjoy being here everyday.  I have my bachelors in Sociology at Texas A&M-Commerce with my Certification in Social Studies 4-8. 

My hobbies include hunting, fishing, playing basketball during the week, building things, going on Mission Trips with my church, and most of all watching college football on Saturdays!  My two favorite teams to root for are A&M-Commerce, GO LIONS and the University of Nebraska, GO BIG RED!  If you happen to catch me watching college football on a Saturdays, I'm probably throwing down some BBQ on the smoker, because who doesnt like good BBQ? 

Its a privilege to be here at Burnett with the amazing staff, students and parents. I look forward to a great school year with your student and hopefully we will see you at some athletic events.
