About Mrs. Caitlin Waits

A little about me: I love teaching and seeing students light up when they realize they can write like a professional adult. I love when a student finds that book that really captures their imagination. I love to talk to kids about how stories-- books, movies, shows, games-- are shaping their lives and teaching them new ideas. I love being a teacher! I also love my family, my husband, my son, and my pug. I enjoy reading (obviously!) as well as watching movies and writing poetry and fiction. I nerd out over Tamora Pierce, Batman, Harry Potter, and Terry Pratchett, and I enjoy Renaissance festivals and fan conventions. I care about my community and do what I can to make it better! I look forward to meeting you!
