I'm from Brazil and have lived here in the United States since the age of 13.
I attended Texas A&M University and completed my studies at the University of UT Southwestern Medical Center - Allied Health Science School in the area of clinical nutrition. I changed professions many years ago and have been in education for over 10 years. Due to my love of all things in education, I decided to pursue a master's in Educational Administration and graduated from Texas A&M Commerce in July of 2019.
I've been married for over 20 years, and my husband is originally from Mexico. We have 2 daughters and a son. My oldest, Karen, is currently attending Texas A&M and will be graduating soon. Karla and Edward are both attending Wylie High School.
I'm pleased to teach at Bush Elementary and be able to work with our English Learners. I hope to have the support of everyone in the school community so that together we can help our children grow. As an ESL teacher, I believe in reading and want my students to read, read, and read every day. "The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." - Dr. Seuss, "I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!"
