¡Hola aguilas de George W. Bush!

Soy Carmen Urbina y me siento más que bendecida de trabajar con su hijo este año escolar como su maestra de español de Primer Grado Lenguaje Dual.

Vivo en Nevada con mis tres hijos, tres perros y dieciseis gallinas!  Soy de Ciudad Valles, San Luis Potosí, México, pero a los 12 años llegué a vivir a Texas. 
Fui a Plano East Senior High School en Plano, TX. y despues a la Universidad de Texas A&M Commerce donde recibí mi licenciatura en Estudios Interdisciplinarios con enfoque en Educación Bilingüe. 
He trabajado en el area de educacion desde el 2013 y este año seguiré enseñando primer grado en nuestra escuela.
Me apasiona el bilingüismo y multiculturalismo.  Mi meta es que su hijo quiera ser aprendiz de por vida y siga creciendo su amor hacia la lectura, nuestro lenguaje y nuestra cultura!

Mi comida favorita: Hay algo mejor que tacos?! Y los postres, todos! Especialmente la nieve....

Hello George W. Bush Eagles! 

My name is Carmen Urbina and I am more than blessed to be your child's First Grade Dual Language Spanish teacher.

I live in Nevada with my three children, three dogs and sixteen chickens! I am from a small town in central Mexico, Ciudad Valles, San Luis Potosi, but I came to the United States when I was 12 years old. 
I went to Plano East Senior High School and then to Texas A&M Commerce where I received my Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies- Bilingual Education. 
I have been in the teaching field since 2013 and this year, I will continue to teach First Grade at George W. Bush Elementary. 
I am passionate and an advocate, for bilingualism and multiculturalism.  My hope is that your child will become a lifelong learner and increase his/her love for Spanish!  

Favorites:
I love to spend time with my family, my chickens, taking pictures and traveling.
Favorite food: Is there anything better than tacos?! And desserts, all of them!
Favorite candy: Chocolate!
