In today's technology-rich world, educators are continually challenged to find new and stimulating ways to teach.  The days of only lecturing, using pen and paper, and simply reading from a text book are a thing of the past.  While there is no replacement for the human element of teaching,  we must take it to the next level by integrating technology into our student's curriculum.  ClassWorks™ Gold serves as a wonderful compliment to the superior classroom instruction provided by the Wylie ISD staff.  

It is our philosophy that if our children do not learn the way that we teach, then we must teach them in the way that they learn.  In today's society, that means we must teach them through the use of technology.  That's where ClassWorks™ Gold comes in. 

Wylie ISD is excited to offer grades K-8 the opportunity to use ClassWorks™ Gold as an enhancement to Language Arts, Reading and Math curriculum; making learning fun and exciting for our students.  After receiving instruction in the regular classroom, students may move to the lab or to a center and play games, listen to fun stories, and see exciting graphics while learning and reinforcing the curriculum presented in the classroom. 

Wylie High School math students now have the opportunity to enhance their curriculum through the use of the ClassWorks High School Edition.   ClassWorks Gold for High School includes a wide variety of tutorials and practice activities. It also allows integration of Internet sites, teacher-created materials, and any of your own software right into the curriculum.

ClassWorks™ Gold features 180 familiar software titles with over 8,600 activities from today's leading publishers, including Knowledge Adventure®, Davidson & Associates, Scholastic Software, Tom Snyder Productions, and Roger Wagner Publishing's HyperStudio®.

ClassWorks™ Gold provides detailed reports of student progress based on district goals and standardized tests for instant accountability.  Reports can be utilized in a variety of methods: by individual student progress or class progress.
