Wylie ISD provides specially designed instruction for students with disabilities in a variety of settings or combinations of settings
Dyslexia
The Dyslexia Program in Wylie ISD, in partnership with parents, teachers, and administrators, will provide all students identified with dyslexia research-based instruction and academic support to prepare them to be successful, lifetime readers and writers.
ELL / Bilingual / ESL
Bilingual education is an instructional program that utilizes the student’s native language as a foundation for teaching academic content

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 is a broad base civil rights law administered by the Office of Civil Rights, which protects the rights of persons with disabilities.
Homeless
Wylie Independent School District, under the provisions of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, provides educational services and referrals to other appropriate agencies for students who are homeless.
Migrant
The Migrant Education Program was established for the purpose of providing supplemental instructional and/or family support services to migratory families.
RESULTS
RESULTS is the procedure adopted by Wylie ISD through which struggling students are referred to a team of knowledgeable persons for consideration of various interventions.
