Dear Akin Parents,
 
Welcome to the 2007-2008 school year. We look forward to another productive and rewarding year.
 
Once again, Akin Elementary has received a Recognized rating by the Texas Education Agency based on 2006-07 student performance. Congratulations to the entire Akin community for this accomplishment. We are proud of our tradition of excellence and look forward to carrying on this tradition.
 
I encourage you to remain active in your children’s educational experiences. Please take time to reflect daily on the positive, quality learning experiences and remember to celebrate the successes.
