Meet the Fourth Grade Team!

Fourth Grade will have several areas of emphasis during the year. In social studies the history and geography of Texas will be the focus. In writing written expression techniques will be used in writing narratives, classificatory, how-to, and persuasive compositions. Reading skills will be taught through novels. Math will be an upward extension of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills. Multiplication and division using two and three digits will be introduced. Science will be taught in units consisting of the scientific process, matter, rocks and minerals, adaptations, ecosystems, and the enviroment. Enrichment activities will be included throughout the year.
