Cowboy Day
Congratulations to Trent Beamer for winning the Bring and
NFL Player to School Sweepstakes! We enjoyed a visit
from Dallas Cowboy, Jason Witten! The NFL Play60
campaign and JC Penney presented a $2000 donation to Akin's
PE program to be used for new equipment and Trent's class
"got out and played" with Mr. Witten after a schoolwide
assembly. We had a wonderful morning! Thank you
to the NFL and JC Penney!

| A-Team Assemblies Second six weeks assemblies will be held on Friday, Nov. 20th. 8:05-8:35 K, PreK(am), PPCD(am), Life Skills 8:45-9:10 1st Grade 9: 15-9:45 2nd Grade 10:00-10:25 3rd Grade 1:30-2:00 4th Grade, PreK(pm), PPCD(pm) Thanksgiving Break School will be closed for Thanksgiving Break November 23-27. The program is open to dads, granddads, uncles, or adult brothers! Become a MENTOR Make a Difference Akin Elementary is proud to have S.M.A.R.T. Lab. (Students and Mentors Achieving Results Together) You have the opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child at Akin. By volunteering to mentor just 30 minutes a week, you will become a part of Akin’s wonderful S.M.A.R.T. Lab. Mentors play an important role in the education of our students.
