All full time employees have 15,000 term life insurance paid by Wylie ISD.
Term Insurance: Group term life insurance for employees and family members is available from Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada. The plan provides for larger amounts of low cost term life insurance while employed at Wylie ISD. The guaranteed issue amounts for new employees and their families within 31 days of hire are $150,000 for employees, $25,000 for spouses, and $10,000 for each eligible child. Additional amounts are available subject to medical underwriting and approval by the company for employee and spouse only. Existing employees that are applying for coverage for the first time will be subject to medical underwriting and approval by the company.
