WISD Business Office earns another award

Wylie ISD has, once again, won another award for its business process.  The Association of School Business Officials Internationals (ASBO) gave the district the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting Program for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year end 2009. 

The award, the highest recognition for school district financial operations offered by ASBO, is only give to school systems that have met or exceeded the standards of the program.  It validates the credibility of Wylie ISD’s business operations and measures the integrity and technical competence of the business staff.

 “Participation in the Certificate of Excellence Program is such a rewarding experience,” said WISD Business Manager Amy Boerner.  “Attaining this award brings a feeling of confidence and has remarkably increased our financial reporting credibility not only to the district but to the community as a whole.”
