Joe Lepsis named Head Football Coach at Wylie East HIgh School

Congratulations to Joe Lepsis for being named the first head football coach/athletics coordinator at Wylie East High School.  Coach Lepsis, who has been with the district since 1997, is currently serving at Wylie High School as the assistant head coach/defensive coordinator/strength and conditioning coordinator.  During his years in Wylie ISD he has worked with both boys and girls in power lifting and strength and conditioning.  He has also coached junior varsity football and varsity football and taught physical education.  Coach Lepsis came to Wylie from Frisco ISD where he served as a physical education teacher and coach.  He is a 1994 graduate of Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky.  

He was introduced to the WISD Board of Trustees at their regular monthly meeting on Monday and was honored by a reception to welcome him to his new campus.
