WHS has recently selected the Birmingham Scholars for the 2007-2008. They are: (from left to right front row) Rachel O’Steen, Korey Stephens, Jace Lington, Wesley Murack, Josh Burkhart, Monica Wyrem, (second row) Jenny Lipe, Robin Reininger, Joey Bartley, Heath Gipson, Brittany Murrie, Charles Partridge, Yasmin Chau, Allie Spillyards, (back row) Lauren Dennis, Sheila Hobbs, Blake Stevens, Katie Griggs, Stephanie Oliver, Zahidul Haq, Maggie Emerson and Erica Wickett.
The students will prepare written autobiographies and then be interviewed by a panel of three area superintendents to determine the 11 students who will receive $11,000 scholarships and the 11 who will receive $1,500 awards. |
