Wylie East and local chamber team up to honor students

The Education Committee of the Wylie Chamber of Commerce has begun a new project with Wylie East High School as part of the school's student recognition program for each six weeks. The winners of five "all school" awards will receive gifts from area businesses to congratulate them for their hard work.

For the fourth six weeks the first group to be honored includes the following:

Academic Improvement -- Taylor Henderson, sponsored by Jordan Adams - Farmers Electric Cooperative
Character Education -- Travis Vo, sponsored by Adam Leggett - State Farm Insurance
