Foundation awards $18,000 in scholarships

The Wylie ISD Education Foundation awarded seven scholarships to Wylie High School graduates.  The scholarships which totaled $18,000 are funded from earned income from named endowments and are administered through the foundation.  Scholarship recipients are:  Melanie Martin, $1,000 Davis Scholarship and $2000 Tibbals Scholarship; Christopher Roberts, $2,000 Tibbals Scholarship; Ashley Hill, $1,000 Donnie Worthington Scholarship; Sadie Byboth, $5,500 Carroll/Garrison Scholarship; Sheila Hobbs, $5,500 Carroll/Garrison Scholarship and Samuel Sandidge, $1,000 Matt Love Scholarship.
