At the recommendation of Superintendent John Fuller, at the January 21 general meeting the board of trustees approved the selection of Dr. Jon Slaten as principal of the district's newest campus, Don Whitt Elementary, set to open in August of 2008. Dr. Slaten is the current principal of Groves Elementary.
Also at the recommendation of the superintendent, Jill Vasquez has been promoted and named principal of Groves Elementary. Mrs. Vasquez is the current assistant principal at Groves. |
