WISD school board approves multi-high schools scenario At a special study meeting on January 7, the Wylie ISD Board of Trustees determined the future configuration of WISD high schools. Trustees chose a scenario for multiple 9-12 comprehensive high schools. The special session issue was on the agenda for discussion and also as an action item if the board decided to vote. The 5 to 2 vote came about 20 minutes into the meeting.
The next step is to form a transition plan for Wylie High School and Wylie East High School to both become four year campuses. Superintendent H. John Fuller has already begun working on a blueprint for transition which will be presented to the trustees when it is complete. A final vote on the transition plan should come this spring.
