Carroll Jewelry and Indulgence Boutique and Salon, owned by Mike and Denise Carroll, will be the title sponsor for the 5th Annual Boots ‘n Barbecue Gala scheduled March 29, 2008 at South Fork Ranch. The couple presented the $20,000 donation to the Wylie ISD Education Foundation at a gala kickoff rally held recently. This is the second year Carroll Jewelry and Indulgence Boutique have stepped up to sponsor Boots ‘n Barbecue at the title level.
“By supporting the WEF again as Title Sponsor, we are able to show how important the Foundation is to this community and the Wylie Independent School District,” said Denise Carroll. “We hope this encourages other businesses to show support for this great organization. Boots ‘n Barbecue is, without a doubt, the best party in town!”
Along with Denise’s mother, Elizabeth Garrison, the Carrolls have been key benefactors for the Wylie ISD Education Foundation by contributing more than $250,000 in endowments and scholarships. Education and the support of have always been an important part of their lives.
“Mike and I will remain committed to the foundation for many reasons but the most important is the kids,” Mrs. Carroll continues. “The money the foundation uses for grants is a fantastic opportunity for teachers to introduce innovative ideas into the classroom. Being able to award a scholarship to a Wylie graduate to further their education is the best feeling in the world.”
