Trustees approved 2008-2009 calendar

On February 18 the trustees also approved the 2008-2009 WISD Calendar. For the first time in a number of years, the first semester will end after the Christmas break. The change was in reaction to the Texas Legislature's mandate that classes must begin in late August rather than mid-August. For the first semester to end prior to Christmas, two of the six week grading periods would have had only five weeks. Classes will begin August 25, 2008 and end June 4, 2009.  Click here for a printable version
