Dr. Fuller to become 2008-2009 TASA Vice-President | | Dr. John Fuller |
WISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. John Fuller has been elected as vice president of the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA). His term will be for the 2008-2009 school year. TASA represents all 1,040 Texas school districts with its membership comprised of superintendents, assistant superintendents and principals. Election as vice president of TASA is especially significant because this individual usually becomes president-elect and then president. The presidency of TASA is an incredible honor and responsibility for the individual and a huge honor for the president's school district.
“I appreciate this unique opportunity and look forward to my time as a executive officer of TASA,” Dr. Fuller said. “The organization impacts many areas of education that are critical to the success of our teachers and students. TASA works with legislative issues, trends in the training of teachers and administrators and often partners with other state-wide groups such as the Texas Association of School Boards. “
