Public forums dates set to discuss high schoolsMark your calendars for three important Mondays, October 8, 22 and 29. The district will hold public forums for the community to give input to the board of trustees regarding the future configuration of high schools in Wylie ISD. Speakers will be asked to comment and give their preference between the two scenarios under consideration by the board. They are:
Scenario 1 -- Two grade 9-10 high schools feeding into one 11-12 senior high school
Scenario 2 -- Three grade 9-12 comprehensive high schools
The October 8 forum will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Wylie East High School. The first portion of the session will be allocated for teachers to speak.
The forums on October 22 and 29 will begin at 7 p.m. The October 22 session is slated for Wylie High School and the October 29 session for Wylie East High School.
