Pre-Kindergarten Registration InformationWylie ISD offers a half-day Pre-Kindergarten program for eligible students at every elementary campus except Tibbals Elementary. The program is provided at no cost to parents. The morning session is from 7:45 A.M – 10:45 A.M. The afternoon session is from 12:00 P.M – 3:00 P.M. Transportation is not provided.
A child is eligible for enrollment in Pre-K if he/she is four years of age on or before September 1, 2007 and meets at least one of the following criteria:
- One or both parents were injured or killed while serving on active duty of the United States Armed Forces;
- One or both parents are currently active military;
- Child is homeless, as defined by federal law;
- Child is educationally disadvantaged based on income as designated by the US Department of Agriculture;
- English is the second language for the student.
