National School Lunch Week

National School Lunch Week is celebrated this year October 15-19.  In Wylie ISD we take the time to thank the members of our staff who work in the Student Nutrition program and provide meals for our students.  This important role helps our children come to class prepared to learn.  

The National School Lunch Program provides nutritious and affordable lunches to more than 26.1 million children each day in more than 93,000 schools.  Approximately 23 percent of Wylie ISD elementary and secondary school students are enrolled in the National School Lunch Program.  This program ensures that our school lunches meet the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. 

Let's not forget to thank these important colleagues for the wonderful work that they do every week for the students who attend Wylie ISD schools.
