Another car winner at WHS | | Adam Jacobson with Ken Taylor |
For the second time this month, a WISD teacher has won a car. Adam Jacobson was selected the sixth winner in the “Driving Success” contest, sponsored by TXA 21, CBS Channel 11 and DriverSelect. Mr. Jacobson is a chemistry and anatomy teacher at Wylie High School.
Reporter Ken Taylor and staff members from TXA 21, CBS 11 and DriverSelect joined the throng of students and staff member in surprising Mr. Jacobson with a new Chevrolet Cobalt.
Mr. Jacobson was nominated by WHS student Allan Bowling, who wrote an essay about his favorite teacher. The essay was placed on the CBS 11 website where people could vote. Just two weeks ago, WHS teacher Ted Stephens was selected winner four of the twelve week contest.
“I have never won anything until today,” said Mr. Jacobson. “It is so cool to be honored by such a great student at the best school in North Texas.”
