Donnie Worthington Memorial Scholarship reaches endowment level

November 29 would have been Donnie Worthington's 52nd birthday, and the WISD Education Foundation was pleased to announce that the scholarship funds donated in his memory have reached more than $11,000. This means that his sister's hope of acquiring the funds for an endowed scholarship prior to his birthday are realized. Kathy LaMere dreamed that an ongoing scholarship in her brother's name would become a reality. Reaching the $10,000 threshold assures that this year a student can receive a scholarship in Donnie's memory as will future students who meet the annual qualifications set forth by his family.
