WHS AFJROTC Secures Hardware in Roundrock

Results are now available from the drill meet at McNeil High School in Roundrock.  Teams from eighteen schools competed and cadets from Wylie's AFJROTC (representing both Wylie and Wylie East campuses) came home with eight trophies. Wylie's Unarmed Team under the command of Cadet Tuyet Trinh won 2nd place in both regulation and exhibition drill.  Wylie's first year regulation drill team placed second under the command of Cadet Monica Bueno.  Members of Wylie's Saber Team commanded by Cadet Brittany Vincze won trophies for 2nd place in exhibition, 3rd place in regulation drill, Cadet Vincze and Cadet Heather Wilhelm took 2nd place in saber Tandem and Cadet Jeffery Herod won 3rd place in Saber Individual, Cadets Sami Milam and Amber Adam won 2nd place in Rifle Tandem. Our color guard teams placed 6th and 7th, physical fitness teams male 4th and female 7th, inspection team was 8th and the armed team finished 16th .  It was a great day for the cadets and congratulations go out to everyone for their excellent teamwork.
